2007-07-22 18:59:00 The Miss HK 2007 finals was held at Hong Kong Coliseum on 21st July and the champion for this prestigious pageant is contestant number 3, Cheung Kayi (from Vancouver, Canada).The 23-year old is a University student in Vancouver, BC and her hobbies include travelling and skiing. Cheung Kayi has also expressed her ambition to promote healthy lifestyle, food safety and to become a TV host. On top of that, Cheung Kayi also won the Miss Vitality Ambassador award.In second place was contestant number 9, Grace Wong (from New York, USA). Grace also won the Miss Photogenic and Miss International Goodwill. 2007-07-11 15:49:00 Miss Hong Kong Pageant 2007 ??????The Miss Hong Kong Pageant (??????), or MHK (??) for short, is a beauty pageant organized by the leading Hong Kong television station, Television Broadcasts (TVB).All participants must have a valid Hong Kong identity card or must be born in Hong Kong (with a valid birth certificate). The pageant has been an annual event since 1973. Apart from the top prize winner, first runner-up and second runner-up prizes, the pageant also has other consolation prizes that vary slightly from year to year. Many Miss Hong Kong contestants have gone on to have movie careers as it is quite typical for the top contestants to garner television contracts from TVB.The pageant is televised into two events.
